Maple Syrup Season

I noticed on my drive to work this week that many maple trees have been tapped for the season. The sap is running! It’s maple syrup season in Maine.
I love Maine maple syrup. I know that Vermont claims the title and theirs is very good. But Maine’s syrup is just a bit better. And I think I can taste the difference! 
Easter Sunday is Maine Maple Sunday. Because of Easter, some sap houses may not be open. But I encourage you to find your local sap house, check their schedule and go visit. Buy some pure gold Maine maple syrup and plan on pancakes real soon! I know I am!
