China to rule Internet by numbers?
Monday, April 28th, 2008An interesting article crossed my screen this week; “China reports it’s tied US for most Internet users” with 221 million Internet users. A 61% increase over last year!
I learned early on to remember that this is a big world with many different cultures and histories that sometimes mingle and blend and other times remain isolated and separate. China has been one of those nations that many people in the United States do not fully understand or comprehend the size but must be understood as we move more and more into a mingled world.
With the U.S.A at 71% of the population on the internet and China at 17% of the population on the internet, there is a great deal more growth potential! I wonder what language the Internet will use most as more Chinese speaking people come on line?
